Three simple steps
- Create an addressChoose a name and one of our available domains. The service generates a private access key and stores it in your browser.
- Use it anywhere appropriatePaste the address into a website or share it with a sender. New messages appear automatically while the inbox is open.
- Let it disappearThe countdown shows how long remains. When it ends, the inbox, messages, and stored attachments are scheduled for deletion.
What it is good for
Omailo can be useful for one-time downloads, product trials, newsletters, testing a form you own, and other short conversations where a permanent address would create unnecessary clutter.
Work with several inboxes
Use Bulk inboxes to import usernames or addresses, choose available domains and expiry times, or generate a batch. Search received messages, filter unread mail, and download your address list or a private backup from the bulk panel.
Generating a batch first shows a preview. Choose Create selected inboxes to make the selected addresses usable, then View inboxes to open them. Creating one inbox opens it immediately.
Open or restore an inbox
My inboxes opens the inboxes saved in your current tab. Restore access lets you paste a private inbox link or upload a private backup to reopen an inbox in another browser. Use Copy private inbox link inside an inbox, or download a private backup before closing the tab or clearing browser data.
If an administrator gives you an access password, it unlocks permission to create inboxes. Existing inboxes still require their private link or backup; the access password and an address-only list do not restore them. Expired, deleted or revoked access cannot be restored.
Send, reply and automate
When outgoing mail is enabled for your domain and your access password permits it, open Inbox settings and check Enable SMTP sending. Compose and Reply then queue messages using the configured mailbox as From and your temporary inbox as Reply-To. The editor supports formatting, links, inline images, file attachments and preview, with a plain-text option. Your administrator can also provide a developer sending key; it does not bypass your access-password permission. Outbox shows progress; “Accepted by SMTP” means the sending server accepted the message, not that final delivery was confirmed. See the developer guide for API access.
Change the time remaining
Choose Change time inside your inbox, then select a permitted remaining duration. Saving starts that duration from now, so you can shorten or extend the countdown. The confirmation shows the server's exact expiry. Your access plan and administrator's limits determine the choices; expired or deleted inboxes cannot be restored.
To update several inboxes, open My inboxes, select up to 100 and choose their settings. Each inbox keeps its own permissions; the results show which changes were saved or skipped.
What it is not for
Do not use a temporary inbox for banking, government services, medical information, purchases you may need to recover, password resets, or any account you cannot afford to lose. Delivery and long-term access are not guaranteed.
About your private link
Your browser stores an inbox identifier and access token. The same details are placed after the # in your private inbox URL so a refresh can restore the session. Do not share that URL: anyone who has it may be able to read the inbox until it expires.
Safer message viewing
Email HTML is isolated from the Omailo page. Remote images are blocked initially; you can explicitly load HTTPS images for the open message. Embedded images stay within the isolated reader, and files can be downloaded. A possible verification code is shown above the complete message. You should still treat unexpected links and files with caution.
